The Foundation Child organized this Congress as an opportunity to gather senior child psychiatrists immediately before the 2009 WPA meeting in Florence, with the purpose to examine and set the agenda for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health in the future.

This event was participated only by a highly selected group of influential child psychiatrists that accepted to gather in the wonderful Salla Franciabigio in Firenze’s historic Convitto della Calza on 31st March 2009.

The Congress included 7 thought master lectures delivered by leading authorities in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and were followed by group discussions on specific issues stemming from research training and clinical practices.

The Congress started at 9am on 31st March, 2009, and continued throughout the day with lunch provided, as well cocktails and celebratory dinner at the end of the day.
