DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION

 

Since 1998, Fondazione Child has been working to promote a child-centred culture through a close examination of the causes and treatments of physical and mental diseases, as well as of behavioural and mood difficulties in children and adolescents. The Foundation encourages researchers to enhance their motivation, interest and competence in the field of child and adolescent mental health.

Fondazione Child promotes the following activities:

• Training of young researchers who are interested in acquiring specific knowledge in the area of developmental pathology and child mental health research methodology;
• Supporting career advancement of clinical researchers who are willing to be involved in developmental psychopathology research;
• Supporting research programs and projects aimed at establishing international research and intervention networks.

 

THE INTERNATIONAL TRAINING SEMINAR IN CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY

The International Training Seminar in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Research brings together junior researchers and experts to build skills and exchange scientific knowledge related to research and academic career development in child and adolescent psychiatry.  Since 2000, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Seminar has been providing an excellent training experience for junior faculty and advanced trainees who are committed to pursue academic careers. The aim of the Seminar is to offer knowledge and insights into the most current and relevant areas of child and adolescent psychiatry clinical practice and research. We also cover topics related to ethics, policy, and basic principles of leadership, public speaking and communication.

 

The 13th Edition of the International Training Seminar in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry will take place from 12 to 17 March in Bertinoro (Forlì Cesena), and will involve five full days of lectures and workshops.

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

 

Fondazione Child is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to help the team in Modena organise the logistics of the 13th Edition of the International Training Seminar in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

 

The position will include the following duties:

 

• Helping the office in Modena ensure the efficient organization of the seminar;
• Organising facilities and managing logistics details, such as transportation, location, invitee lists, promotional material, etc;
• Interacting with the trainees to identify their needs and to ensure their satisfaction;
• Following closely the trainees’ day-by-day activities in Bertinoro.

Candidates for the position should:

 

• Show a sincere interest in the mission and values of Fondazione Child;
• Have a proven experience as event planners (events, conferences, training seminars). International experience is a plus;
• Have an excellent command of English and Italian, spoken and written;
• Have good time management and communication skills;
• Have basic administrative skills;
• Be willing to stay in Bertinoro for the whole duration of the seminar (12-17 March);
• Possess a full European driving license and a car.
