The Future Roles of Cutting-Edge Methods in the Study and Treatment of Childhood Disorders

This Congress was organized in occasion of the 57th Meeting of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and it was sponsored by the Foundation Child, Children First Foundation and Columbia University, with the collaboration of the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America at Columbia University.
5000 people coming from all over the world partecipated in this meeting.
The meeting was open by the greetings of the General Consul Honorable Francesco Maria Talò, and included the most talented European and American reseachers in the area of developmental psychology, with the goal of delving into future paths of research and formation.
In particular, this meeting tackled the topic of different tratment models in dealing with child & adolescent mental health across Europe and the United States.
The Congress addressed this subject by diverse perspectives, with particular attention to the dialogue and debate between models implemented in America and in Europe.
Researchers examined and evaluated the current status of mental health during developmental age in America and Europe, as well as the effectiveness of cures adopted and services currently available for children and their families. A special space was given to political decisions that promoted and suppported mental health during developmental age, explaining how these decisions affected national responses in this sector.
